Hooray for the holidays!! Y’all I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited for Christmas in my whole life. It always makes me SO happy to decorate my room/the house for Christmas and so this year I wanted to show you my little holiday bedroom makeover! A lot of the little decorations I got were relatively cheap & I thought you might get some ideas from this post for your own decorating!
First of all, 90% of the ornaments hanging on my tree I got from the dollar store. What a steal. I like to wrap burlap around my tree to give it a rustic, farmhouse kind of feel, then I decided to just go with gold and white ornaments on my tree and I love how simple, yet festive it looks!! Eeekk it makes me so happy every time I look at it!
I’m so on top of things and already have all of my Christmas shopping done so I wrapped the presents and put them under my tree. I’m totally kidding. How does anyone ever get their gift shopping done early?? No idea. But, instead of wrapping real presents I usually just wrap up some empty boxes (books work well too!) and put them under my tree haha! Shhhh don’t tell anyone! This can be our little secret 😉
I always have a white comforter on my bed and lots of white pillows so that it can be really easy to switch out my decor when I feel like it. All I had to do was add a couple pillows and this super cozy throw blanket that were all bought at Target last year and ta-da! Just like magic, a cozy Christmas bed!!
My dresser is probably my favorite part of the room at the moment! I love switching this space up with new decor and I think it turned out so cute & festive this time around! Of course the first step is adding a Christmas quote to my DIY letterboard, I always have so much fun with this! I added a garland that I got at Micheals for 50% off & took these wood letters I got last year, painted them red and of course added lots & lots of glitter! One of the easiest ways to add a Christmasy (is that even a word??) feel to any space is to add lights! These lights are always on my dresser and they always tie everything together. In the little empty cubbies I just put some little things like, a nativity, ornaments, & gift boxes.
I usually have three hats hanging above my dresser but I switched them out for these wreaths and… I’m not even sure what the other thing is…? Haha! I just bought some fake Christmas holly (is that what it is??) at the Dollar Store and tied them together with red ribbon. Super easy switch but it totally transformed the room!
A few other random things I used in my room were, this candle that smells J U S T like Christmas! Ahhh I loveeee it! Some more ornaments in a glass terrarium, & the cutest red car with a Christmas tree on top! When I saw it at Target I didn’t even think twice before grabbing it haha!
That pretty much wraps up my Christmas room makeover! I also wanted to share with you my Christmas Cheer music playlist that I put together! It has some of my most favorite Christmas songs sung by some of my favorite artists! So now you can listen to all the best Christmas songs while decorating for the holidays!
