HEY… I haven’t popped in on here much lately! But I did this little DIY the other day & it turned out adorable so I thought I would share it with y’all! Okay first of all, Happy love month!! I love February! It just sounds so sweet & happy. Seeing all the Valentine’s decorations & everything covered in red and pink just makes my heart soar! I bought this sweater probably two years ago from a thrift store (similar one here) with this exact project in mind but never got around to doing it until now! Hahah #professionalprocrastinor
I don’t have any step-by-step pictures or anything on how to do this but it literally was so easy & I just made it up as I went so I’ll try to explain what I did as best as I can! Okay so first you want to find an old sweater that needs a little makeover, like I mentioned earlier this one was thrifted and it worked perfect! The only other materials you need are some scrap fabric – you could also use an old flannel or shirt! – and a needle & thread. All I did was marked where my elbows were in the sweater, cut out two heart shapes of my fabric and sewed them on. That’s it! I had all of the supplies for this already at my house and I don’t even really know how to sew or anything hahah! I just did what I thought looked ok!
Y’all I am in L O V E with this sweater! Eeek it’s so cute! Seriously the perfect outfit for Valentine’s Day! It’s casual but still fun and festive for the holiday! Gosh I really love it. Also, while we were taking pictures of this outfit the CRAZIEST hail storm hit. It was insane. And so cold. Whatever happened to the early spring that groundhog was talking about?? I wouldn’t complain a bit if that was true ha! Bring on Spring! Anyway, I hope this gave ya some Valentine’s Day outfit inspiration! If you try this out make sure you send me a picture over on instagram! Hope you’ve been having an incredible week.
That’s all…. love you guys!
Many hugs,
